First, it is nearly impossible to get directly to the real decision maker using the phone, fax, email or cold calling and forget about leaving a voicemail.

When was the last time a decision maker returned your introductory cold call voicemail?

Second, prospects hate the intrusion, they get defensive and do everything it is so easy to just blow you off.

And third cold calls don't work anymore because when the economy gets bad that is the first thing every run of the mill salesperson does…You can't afford to be like everyone else.

Cold Calling just does not work…well not half as well as they used to and even that is being generous…It is not just me, I work with thousands of sales people a year and they say the same thing, people just do not communicate the same way they use to.

Look, you rely on sales are the life blood of your organization, and it use to be if you put in the time you made a pretty good living at that and when times were good it seemed anyone could sell…no today
